Adonis and Pulsatilla

Today's creation, to celebrate the clocks going forward, is a poem of three words:

Summer

Time

Flowers

Adonis

Pulsatilla

Summer Time. I enjoy the lie-in. This morning I was up at seven instead of six.

Here are more photos taken on the training run by the Neusiedlersee on the last day of winter time. I selected this particular area in order to see the flowers and the birds and to stock-up on my pesticide-free red wine!

  1. Nice celebration of the coming of Spring. Gloria looks like she is made of wood. Is this so?

    1. That's a good question. She's made from reeds which grow beside the lake in profusion and are exported to Holland and other countries for roofing cottages. I've attached a photo of the reeds so you can see what I mean. The light in the water is from the sun.

    2. Interesting. We have Norfolk reeds that are harvested and used for thatching locally. The scene of Norfolk reeds looks the same as your picture.
