Watch it again Pat. He actually smiles as he walks towards the camera. Well, it seems so to me. But hopefully we'll get an 'expert' opinion from Rachel or Dave.
He's a football giant bordering on philosopher and legend. Think of football manager greats like Clough, Busby, Ferguson, Shankly.. You name them and his name will be up there with them. Thanks for posting the video Gwil!
I shall always remember his reply when he was questioned regarding his raising two fingers in the direction of some yobs in the back of the stand. I was ordering two pies for half time from the lady in the snack bar. Priceless. :-)
The wild garlic fills the woodland air. Football is the beautiful game as Pele calls it. I don't like people abusing sports, any sport, for political reasons.
Has he ever been known to smile?

DeleteJose has a wry sense of humour that does not involve overt smiling.
DeleteFrom Peter Schmeichel fumbling the catch and through to Jose's demand to write his name bigger, it's wry humour. Very Russian I think.
DeleteI haven't watched this video yet.
DeleteWon't take long as they get it all into 58 seconds

ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning Brian Clough in that list, probably the best manager England never had.
DeleteBrian Clough is one of my favourite managers of all time. Like you say Gwil, the best manager England never had.

DeleteWell done on your Easter pb. The woods looked lovely in your pictures. As for football, it’s not my cup of tea 😬
