Making Lists

It's been a while.

Maybe I should make a list.

What about long German words?  Could be interesting.

1 - Jungmusikerleistungsabzeichens
2 - Geschwindigkeitsuebertretungen

On second thoughts, maybe not.

  1. Lists of words may be ok but other lists are a bad thing. They are a burden to people. I read the other day that people who make lists go to bed at night worrying about what is outstanding on their lists and then they cannot sleep! I have never made a list in my life. But I do write Polish words in my Polish words book. I spoke to a Polish boy on the train this afternoon. He was pleased to hear my attempts at the language, and I was appreciative of his help.

    1. Polish is not the easiest language to learn. A friend of mine has a Polish wife and that's what he told me only a few days ago. And she was there and agreed with him. So great kudos to you!
I'm not a list maker either I'm happy to tell you. I can imagine a list maker as you describe. It'd be a good sketch for Mr Bean I think.

    2. I cannot read or write it, I have been learning by listening to cds and a tape. I write the words down as they sound to me. I suppose it would be called phonetics.

    3. That's a great idea - the phonetics. I should do that instead of repeating the failed word wrongly with growing loudness. As if volume ever made a difference!
