Rainbow at twilight (Waldviertel - Austria)

Art is like nature. If you do not let it in through a door, it will enter through a window.

  1. That's a great quote, and the photos are lovely, especially that of the rainbow. Greetings!

  2. Actually Gwil I like the other photographs more - they have such beautiful light and shade. You speak of the floods in Japan - I saw the film of them on the TV News - they looked horrendous.

    1. More rain on the way. Just what they don't need.

I like them in the order given.

    1. Ah, we're agreed.

I tried to visit your blogged and got a banned site message. Something about unsuitable material. I think the Internet is paranoid. Mind you I'm not surprised when I think about what goes on on it.

    2. I can't think why. I haven't featured anything but Le Tour and a drawing of birds (swifts) for days. They must be beyond paranoid.

    3. I just got same message for another website. Must be a technical prob. Hope to sort it out.

  5. Love the photos and quote. Many congrats on being the oldest race competitor in your 1/5 marathon. Hope you won your age catagory :o). 45 mins, a tidy time. We did a local 4.5 mile through woods last night with club runners. I got in in 39 mins but didn't enjoy it. Too fast. Am much preferring the longer slower distances. Wondered what your preference is? CT.

    1. They only had a M60 category so I was ar wrong end of the decade :)-
I don't have much speed in my legs these days so I like a race with a gentle start. I'm hoping to do a half marathon in September, but I'll do some shorter uphill races also. A 10 km with about 500 mtrs ascent is ok. I don't do 2,000 mtrs ascents anymore :).
