The Raven

When autumn fogs
and industrial smogs

Cloak the graves
and the graveyard walls

When the leaves
are fallen and the world is grey

The raven's call
doth winter hail

    1. They arrive in their thousands from the north of Russia in their noisy thousands and stay for the winter inhabiting the graveyards and the parks. The local crows are wary. There are sometimes skirmishes.

  2. We don't get many ravens in Edinburgh, though there are a few secretive pairs who nest here

  3. I love Ravens. We have a nesting pair not far from here. They fly over most days. Such intelligent birds.

Sorry you missed your race over the weekend but excellent news on the faster time. I’m STILL laid up with the lurgy. Desperate to get back out running 😡.
