*here is Austria we had a general election in September 2019 and the country is still bring run by a caretaker government appointed by the president following a political scandal - the news today is possibly a coalition government by the middle of January 2020 but don't bank on it :-) . . . these delays for wheeling and dealing behind closed doors are inevitable under a PR voting system.

    Very good Gwil. Have you seen the Tracey Ullman Show Scottish Supremacy sketch? It's on good old You Tube.

    I like Nicola and she doesn't mind being called Jimmy Crankie.

    I like her - she comes over on TV as a sensible woman (anybody standing in this election who is sensible is worth voting for)

      The SNP want independence and to be in the EU. I see a contradiction here. The EU is opposed to any sniff 🤧 of nationalism. Another problem is that an independent Scotland would have to rejoin the EU something Juncker said a country cannot do.

      As for Weaver saying she comes over on tv as a sensible person I am appalled. The power of tv. It should be banned completely during election run ups.

      The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland which Scotland is a part of will be leaving the EU at the end of January 2020 no ifs or buts. It couldn’t be clearer TV or no TV.

      She will have to rejoin the EU as an independent Scotland after Brexit. Has she even discussed the idea with the EU. Has the average Hebridean crofter been asked if he wants euros instead of Clydesdale bank Scottish pounds or if he wants to be in the Schengen zone assuming he’s even heard of it or even of Frau van der Leyen his EU new president etc..
