I have read that children in the Philippines are often paid in rice for collecting plastic. In Portugal there are recycling bins everywhere for metal, and plastic. You don't see rubbish on the beaches.
I don't know about bins. It's an AONB and people respect it as such. If you go as the Worm's Head watch out as I saw a viper on the beach up there. Dylan Thomas used to walk from Mumbles to Worm's Head and back in his younger days. That's a fair old march.
Every cloud has a silver lining.
ReplyDeleteIn this case 0.90c per day.

DeleteLove the Portugal emoji Gwil😄.
ReplyDeleteAnother place with clean beaches is the Gower. I saw lots of star fish ⭐️ 🐠 on my last visit, and also no litter.
DeleteDo they have litter bins there Gwil. I never see any here in Ireland. Well only ones in towns that you can only get a few fingers in.
