  1. Wake up Gringo. A siesta or hibernation sounds a good idea. Like the mural or Muriel if you're Hilda Ogden.

  2. Consternation Street. The early episodes in the Rovers were priceless. I went to the Granada Studios and read the weather once. Also sat on s green bench in the House of Commons while I was there.

    1. Three stout halves in the snug. Hair nets, head scarves, and curlers. All the latest scandals. Tanner's not her real name you know. No. He was an American from Burtonwood. Do anything for a packet of fags that one.

  4. Ena Sharples, Minnie Caldwell, Bobby the cat, Albert Tatlock. I once met Pat Phoenix and she signed me a photograph for my mum. "Cheers love", she said to me. All for charity. Sheer class.

    1. The only one I mert in the flesh was Jack Duckworth. I think it was a charity event in Morecambe. I can't remember what I said to him. I probably asked him if Vera knows where he is.
