Glögg is a warming drink accompanied by 3 heart shaped ginger biscuits.
Lovely pics - so different from Christmas over here. Wish I was there.
The English equivalent is almost bedlam, with bagpipes, whisky, curry and second hand books. Lots of loudness and gusto. This change of pace, this oasis of calm was a pleasant interlude.
Santa Lucia is celebrated on the 13th December here in Verona. She brings gifts and sweets to children. The smorgasbord looks very good.Greetings Maria x
Ciao Maria, cosi pranzano molto bello! Grazie per visite. Salute! G.
Do you watch Soliti e Ignoti on Rai1? I do when I get the chance. It's a way of learning. One of the tools in my Italiano workbox ;)
Grazie Gwil. I have seen Soliti Ignoti before, but it is too late for me; I'm in bed at that time;)
Grazie Maria, I just wondered. I go to bed when it finishes ;) especially in winter when it's dark and cold like now. In fact it's already dark at 4:30 where I am.
I forgot to say I also watch Geo which is on RAI 3 in afternoon, if I have time. But I don't always gave time ;)
I always watch Geo e Geo while I'm cooking dinner. In no time you will be speaking Italian better than me Gwil! X
I would like the smorgasbord.
I reckon you would. The table was 20 ft long! And weighed down with many kinds of bread and cakes. I had an Earl Gray tea believe it ornot.
