    1. Thanks Dave, yes they're my own cartoons, and also any others on my blogs. There must be quite a few over the last 7 or 8 years lurking around here and there.

  2. Re you poet post on Vienna - I didn't know that Gwil, so thank you for the information. War is cruel and often very ordinary men (and women too) do things that under normal circumstances they wouldn't think of.

    1. Thanks Pat, the veneer of civilized behaviour is as thin as the paint on a billiard ball.

  3. "Now that God is dead there is an unmanned drone overhead".

I have just treated myself to Gunter Grass Of All that Ends, his last work, just published. Drawings, poems, thoughts. It arrived this afternoon and I just opened it at random and came across the words above. Very apt I thought.

I like your cartoon and the words!

    1. I must look out for the Grass. Thanks for the tip. The Russian soldier is easy to find. Very near Schwarzenbergplatz tram station - line D or 71. You can't miss him. He's very tall.

  5. Re your Poet blog Gwil - I see on the six o'clock news that the cease fire is already broken. Where will it all end?
